Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.

My Story

As a child I wanted to be a doctor or a teacher. Later, before my first degree I wanted a job without a regular schedule. I wanted to avoid just to be in a workplace every day where everything is the same from 8 to 4, sitting there even if I have nothing to do. I wanted something always new, to think about whenever not only in the working hours (but makes sense) or figure out whatever (but also makes sense) while I can learn new things and I am free. I am free to work wherever and whenever. To work this way is not a big deal now, but in that time the mid-eighties it has no tradition.

Surprisingly, I have got all of these from my first workplace. I became a researcher. This was the beginning of my active period in work 37 years ago. It is strange a bit to write this big number down. As it would have been yesterday.

Then my first university found me and an academic carrier has begun. For now, after more than 24 years as a university teacher I feel that teaching can be successful and it has sense only through personal contacts between teacher and student. A certain master-disciple relationship can provide such a feeling, trust and interest what is the background needed for a fruitful learning process and result.
